[Cause honestly that makes it worse.]

It still happened. It doesn't change that fact.

[Sigh.]

No, it doesn't. [Beat.] I just don't want you blaming him for something he didn't actually choose, is all.

[He accepts the fact that he absolutely stole the choice from him. By drugging Jesper. By kissing him; drugs or not, he knew what he was doing.]

[Now he's just exasperated.]

I never said I was blaming him. [Because he doesn't, in fact, blame Jesper. It doesn't hurt any less though.]

[There's another second or two of silence.

Then, quietly: ]

Just talk to him, okay?

[He'll wait long enough for whatever sort of acknowledgment Wylan might give before he hangs up.]

[He knows the conversation is over after he says those words, but he lingers on the line until Kaz hangs up.]
