Not running in there without you. Promised, remember?
[He doesn't like the thought of Lilith being without a plan.] If she doesn't have a plan, then we're going to have to come up with some wild bullshit on our own, sweetheart.
Have we checked everywhere in the library? In case we need a backup plan. [He can't remember, they've been at this problem for so long. He's tired. Tired of this mess, tired of Hell. Tired of being tired.
He sighs and pulls Wylan with him. If they're going to talk this out, they're going to do so curled up in bed, where at least the illusion of a future promised sleep existed.]
She better have something up her sleeve. All this magic really has me wishing your wizard dads didn't get tangled up in this disaster.
Have I checked the library? [He gives Jesper a look.] Actually I don't know if we have really dug into it. I mean I can't be much help there.
[He'd have to rely on Noah and Jesper to really do the research.]
I don't know if they would know anything to guide us through either. Nothing I have is really...useful for a situation like this. [Which means maybe he'd need to ask if there was something he could learn that would help them in the future.]
We. I asked if we checked the library. [He would never suggest he go there alone, to be left among stacks of books he couldn't read.] Maybe we should go again, see if we can find anything to help us.
[He could make sense of the words, and Wylan could study the charts. Divide and conquer.]
...I'd still feel better if we had other sources than just Lilith. But...we do what we can with what we have, right?
What do you think we could find that would help us? [He knew Jesper didn't mean it like that, but he couldn't help but wonder what he expected him to find.] I mean I'll take anything at this point but I'm not sure where to even start.
[He thinks about it for a brief moment, before he says,] Yeah. We'll do what we can, and that's all we can do.
We'll get everyone we care about out of this mess, somehow.
I have no idea. [ It's said with a groan, full of frustration in every note.] But if there is anything we need to try to find it. This thing is a...spell or something--I think. We can start looking there.
[He's honestly not sure they're likely to find anything, but Jesper prefers action over most anything.]
No matter how we get in...we'll need a plan. Timing, a meeting point...[Despite the chaos that drove the mission in the Ice Court, they had only been successful because they went with a plan--and that plan had been able to adapt.]
A spell would be nice. [But would he be able to actually perform the spell? They could just bring the spell to Lilith and hope for the best.]
Okay. Let's... start coming up with something. Let's say we get in, where would we start? [He asks trying to think through this.] We'd be going to get Kaz out, but who else? Caleb and Essek are in there too.
[There were a lot of people they knew to be inside of Hellburbia. Could they actually save them all?]
If we find one...that's a better start than having nothing. [Even if they still had to go to Lilith with it. He'd feel better working with something they found.]
We start with locating our own. We don't know exactly where Kaz, Caleb, or Essek are. All I got a glimpse of on the call with Kaz was his bedroom, so that doesn't give me much. [Which means this is already a problem.] Noah's looking for his crew...They'll probably be at their usual house, right? If we get him there first...one of them might know where to find the others.

[There had to be a way. If they couldn't get into Hellburbia... then what could they do?]
She must have some sort of idea though. She knows magic of some sort right? Maybe she can counter the spell somehow.
